Reset Your Capacity

June 16, 20265 min read

I know what it feels like to have all the tools but no power to use them.

You have the books. The certifications. The morning routine, the meditation app, and the journal you've filled three times over.

And yet, some days, you still feel like you're drowning in three inches of water.

It's not a lack of effort.

It's not a lack of intelligence.

The problem is capacity.

This is why I've stepped into the YOUniverse to go through the 7-Day Capacity Reset and I'm inviting you to join me.

The Gap Between Knowing and Doing

We've been taught that if something isn't working, we just need to try harder.

Push through. Grind it out. Get more disciplined.

But what happens when the tank is empty?

What happens when your system is so overloaded that even the thought of trying harder makes you want to pull the blinds and disappear for a week?

This is where most of us get stuck. We try to apply a high-performance solution to a low-capacity system

It's like trying to run a high-definition movie on a dial-up connection. The movie is great. The computer is working.

But the bandwidth simply cannot handle the load.

What Are the Five Tanks?

When we talk about capacity, we're not just talking about how much sleep you got.

We're talking about a system of five distinct tanks and they all interact with each other.

  1. Physical Capacity: Your literal energy, health, and physiological state.

  2. Emotional Capacity: Your ability to process feelings without becoming overwhelmed.

  3. Mental Capacity: Your cognitive bandwidth for focus, decision-making, and complexity.

  4. Social Capacity: Your ability to navigate relationships and environments with other humans.

  5. Energetic Capacity: Your deeper sense of "vitality" and presence in the world.

Think of capacity like a bucket. As it fills, your ability to take things in and draw things out, changes. Things don't stop coming when you're full

They just spill over.

When one tank overflows, it doesn't stop there. It spills into the others. Quietly. Until one day you realize your body has been doing the emotional labor you never learned to process anywhere else or your creativity goes quiet right when you need it most or you're short with the people you love for no reason you can name.

Here's what happens when we get close to full: the brain starts deleting, distorting, and generalizing. Been through a course with us, then you may recognize that concept. It's not because something is wrong with you. Because there's no room left to process with nuance.

And full social capacity? It can look exactly like depression. The isolation. The withdrawal. The conflict sensitivity.

Worth sitting with.

These aren't character flaws.

They might be capacity.

Why I'm Doing This With You

I'm not sharing this because I think it's a great idea.

I'm doing this because I need it too.

I've spent the better part of two decades being a high-achiever. Said yes when I meant no. Filled in the gaps everywhere I saw them — in the classroom, on the practice field, in my relationships, in this business.

And I had explanations for all of it. Busy season. Hard week. Just need some alone time.

Turns out, I was at capacity. And I didn't have a word for it yet.

As a trainer and mentor, I carry a lot. Your growth, your struggles, and my own life and business all at once. Sometimes I find myself shrinking to fit a room, or over-explaining, or masking how much I'm actually holding.

That creates a real load on the system.

So I'm not sending you into this alone. I'll be right there in the classroom, doing the daily work alongside you. We're going to look at our own systems together.

What the 7-Day Capacity Reset Actually Is

It's not a challenge to see how much you can do.

It's a process to see how you actually work.

Most of the time, we treat our minds and bodies like a black box. We put inputs in and get frustrated when the outputs don't match our expectations. This reset helps you open the hood. It gives you language for the internal, invisible mechanics that dictate your day-to-day life — which tanks are full, which are leaking, and how to stop fighting your own system.

Confusion is one of the biggest capacity drains there is. When we don't know what to do next, we stop doing anything at all. That's why Tah built this in small, digestible pieces. You don't need hours. You just need a few minutes and a willingness to observe yourself honestly.

This Isn't About Fixing You

The world is obsessed with fixing people. It treats your overwhelm like a character flaw. Your burnout like a failure of self-care.

I don't believe you're broken.

I believe you're a thoughtful, high-functioning human carrying an enormous load, in a world that wasn't built for your depth.

This reset isn't about changing who you are. It's about understanding how you work so you can navigate your life with more clarity.

Imagine being able to say: "I'm not failing at this. I just have a capacity leak today." And knowing exactly which lever to pull.

That's what we're after. Not perfection.

Functional clarity.

One More Thing

There's no requirement to stay after the 7 days.

Come in, do the reset, learn what you learn, and decide from there. I mean that.

But, as always, I'll be honest with you, the reset is just the entry point. Inside the YOUniverse, there's room to keep going. To understand yourself in ways you may never have had language for before.

Not in a "become a brand new person" way.

In a grounded, this-finally-makes-sense way.
